On these projects I worked initially as the art director coming up with the concepts alongside a copywriter. First we produced scamps with headlines to be presented to the client. Once a preferred route was selected I art-directed the shoots, made the shot selections and then designed the layouts.

The first ad started out as a press ad for an in-store magazine and desk-drop for call centre staff with a free phone charm attached. However, it was liked so much they decided to also run it as a 6-sheet and as a press ad in other publications.

The two ads featuring Benefit make-up started as a brief for one handset, but the concepts were well liked and there was an opportunity to include another phone so it was widened to two ads. Both these ads were shot on the same day, with the same cast in the same location.
